As we age, so do our parents and aunts and uncles. Sometimes it bcomes are responsibility to care for them in addition to other responsibilities: working, raising our own kids, traveling, etc. Have you had to assume this responsibility and adjust to the stress? Let's share our experiences here, either how we coped or didn't cope with the added stress. Posted by Jacqueline Marcell on 07/28/2016 - 01:14 AM
I barely survived as a caregiver to my (once-adoring) "challenging" elderly father and sweet mother, both with undiagnosed Alzheimer's. If I only knew then what I know now, I could have been spared so much time, pain, money, tears and tissue. Once I finally figured everything out medically, behaviorally, socially, legally, financially and emotionally, I felt driven to write a book to help others going through similar experiences. I am honored that "Elder Rage" became a Book-of-the-Month Club selection receiving 500+ 5-Star Amazon reviews, 50+ celebrity endorsements (www.ElderRage.com/review.asp), is required reading at numerous universities and even considered for a film.
